Lidiia’s educational background is diversified in various fields of law that gave her a unique set of expertise. She received both L.MM from Yaroslav Mudryi Law Academy of Ukraine and a Master’s in Human Rights and Democratization from Ivane Javakhishvili State University in Georgia. In addition to this, she has a Masters in IT Law from the University of Tartu in Estonia, as well as a legal traineeship at the University of Eastern Finland. Her experience studying in these different countries not only gave her insight into their legal frameworks, but also into their different languages and cultures.

Attorney with legal experience in the public and private sectors and international NGO’s. She also has an advanced educational background in the field of Law, IT law, IP law, Infrastructure, and International Law at Ukrainian, Georgian and Estonian universities. Law studies and current experience primarily focused on IT & IP Law, E-Commerce and IT contracts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Commercial Law, International Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms, and infrastructure issues dealing with river, railway, road transports. A fast learner with an analytical mindset, great organizational and problem-solving skills, highly motivated.

Currently, Lidiia serves as a Senior Policy Officer at the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, with responsibilities including conducting complex policy research and policy development in the field of Infrastructure and IPR. In recent years, she has developed a deep understanding of water and railway infrastructure. Lidiia was able to contribute to the development of legal reforms that improved the efficiency of this sector, unlocking opportunities for private investment to flow in. Her core responsibilities are to develop infrastructure modernization plans and push for regulatory reforms addressing workforce shortages, which would help ensure long-term economic growth and competitiveness.

Prior to AmCham, her work was diversified in both the public and private sectors. Her public sector experience includes stints at the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Ukraine and as an intern at the Parliament of Ukraine. At the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Ukraine, Lidiia was devoted to the supervision of investigations, and to also represent the state in court. This also included preparing procedural documents, requests, applications, appeals, and complaints. As a prosecutor, she provided legal analysis of the draft laws dealing with the prevention and counteraction of corruption, supervision of law enforcement activity, protection of human rights and freedoms, and the administration of justice. During her time as an intern at the Parliament of Ukraine, she gained knowledge of the inner workings of Ukraine’s legal framework. In the private sector, Lidiia was a legal trainee at the Bicak Law Firm in Turkey. What she took away from this was an understanding of Turkey’s business lifecycle and its intersection with law.
