Thus, exraordinary efforts are being made by the Ministry to combat unfair and unofficial price formations, real estate sales and rental transactions are also closely monitored. Recently, the Ministry imposed an obligation to provide information on advertising websites on the Internet in order to more easily access information that will support the work performed to identify events and transactions that are subject to tax in the current period and take the necessary actions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">New Development<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">With Tax Procedure Law <a href=\"https:\/\/www.resmigazete.gov.tr\/eskiler\/2022\/05\/20220531-7.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General Communiqu\u00e9 No. 538<\/a>, which came into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated 31 May 2022, new procedures and principles were stipulated regarding the provision of certain information on publications on the internet.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Who?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">According to the Communiqu\u00e9;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\"> intermediary service providers, <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">social network providers and <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">hosting providers\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">that mediate the publications for the purchase, sale or rental of movable and immovable properties and goods and services must notify the Revenue Administration of their transactions every month.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Scope of the Notification<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The following fall within the scope of the notification and must be reported to the Revenue Administration electronically:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The web address where the service is provided<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The name, surname\/title and Turkish Identity Number\/Foreigner Identity Number\/Tax Identification Number of the service receivers and their workplace address<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The amount and date of each collection or sale transaction regarding the sale\/rental of movable and immovable properties and goods and services performed on behalf of the service receivers<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The bank account information regarding the payment of the collected amounts to the intermediary service providers<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Publishers are obliged to provide the information subject to their publications to the intermediary service providers, social network providers and hosting providers. Otherwise, intermediary service providers, social network providers and hosting providers will report those who do not provide information to the Revenue Administration.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The first Notification<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The first notification must be made by 1 August 2022 for the period of June 2022. Intermediary service providers, social network providers and hosting providers are required to complete their applications for the use of the Revenue Administration Information Transfer Platform (BTRANS) before the first notification date.
